Are you passionate about working with youth in need?

Studying a CHC50513 Diploma of Youth Justice will give you the tools and knowledge to make a real difference in the lives of young people who have, or are at risk of offending. You’ll learn a wide range of skills from managing service response to young people in crisis, to working in the youth justice environment, to learning how to work effectively with clients with complex alcohol, and/or drug issues.

Working with Evocca’s Community Services and Youth faculty’s highly experienced tutors and support staff, you’ll learn to be an advocate for young people during family conferences and courtroom appearances, be part of a team working with youth at risk, or work in a residential care facility with young people who are unable to remain in their own homes or who are at risk of homelessness.

Whether looking to become a youth worker, a youth justice conference convener, or a case worker, this course will equip you with the skills to succeed and transform the lives of young people in need.

You will also have the opportunity to complete 240 hours of vocational placement within a youth justice environment to practise your skills.

Students need to be eligible to apply for a Suitability for Working with Children Check and/or a Criminal History Check, depending on the state in which they live/work. Candidates must also be at least 20 years of age.
